Aslan Brown joined Valence as an associate in March 2022. Since joining the firm, he has worked closely with senior attorneys and partners on a range of transactional real estate matters, including commercial lease and sublease transactions.

Aslan received his B.S. in Molecular Environmental Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2015 and his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2021. He is licensed to practice law in California.

While in law school, Aslan completed a rigorous year-long clinic in the Patent Module of the Startup Legal Garage, helping biotechnology startups conduct Freedom to Operate analyses for their technologies in development. In addition, he was one of two Hastings students selected to participate in a summer boot camp on innovations in legal operations with the Institute for the Future of Law Practice. Aslan also interned with a leading workplace transparency internet technology company, where he gained experience working in a fast-paced in-house environment.

In his spare time, Aslan loves outdoor activities, including hiking, basketball, snowboarding, disc golf, and animal watching. He also enjoys movies, tv shows, and video game competitions.
