Michelle Carlston
Michelle is a senior paralegal with over 20 years’ experience. She supports the firm’s attorneys in a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including commercial leases, subleases, and purchase and sale transactions.
Michelle assists with the drafting and review of a wide range of documents, including commercial leases and lease amendments, subleases and consents, tenant estoppel certificates, and subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements.
She also performs due diligence on real estate transactions, including performing survey and title review, and performing zoning research. She assists attorneys with the closing of transactions, including drafting closing documents, escrow instructions, and detailed lease abstracts.
She is experienced in various software programs including Microsoft Office suite, LexisNexis, Adobe Acrobat, Yardi, and AIR CRE.
Michelle received a B.A. in English from California State University, Hayward and J.D. from Washburn University School of Law in Kansas. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys volunteering as a member of the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, spending time with her two kids, and being the assistant coach for her daughter’s softball team.
