Lauren is an experienced transactional attorney with a comprehensive background in commercial real estate.

She began her legal career in Philadelphia, handling everything from zoning, land use, and environmental matters to residential and commercial real estate sales, mortgage foreclosures, and loan work-outs.

Subsequently, Lauren moved to one of the largest firms in Philadelphia, where she represented real estate investors, developers, funds, and institutional lenders in the purchase, sale, leasing, and financing of a variety of commercial and mixed-use projects across the country. Continuing her zoning and land use work, she represented non-profit organizations and other businesses before various municipal agencies.

Prior to joining Valence, Lauren practiced in Manhattan, where she represented commercial landlords and tenants in the leasing of office and retail space ranging from 2,500 rsf to 150,000+ rsf. She also represented developers, public and private funds, closely-held corporations, and others in the acquisition and disposition of commercial and mixed-use properties, including senior living and healthcare facilities, and guided borrowers through the process of obtaining mortgage financing insured by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Presently, Lauren represents commercial landlords and tenants in all phases of the leasing, subleasing, and build-out process, including the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts, leases and subleases for office space, research and development facilities, industrial/warehouse facilities, and retail space. She also represents developers, start-ups, closely-held corporations, and other individual and institutional investors in the acquisition and disposition of commercial and mixed-use properties for which she drafts and negotiates purchase and sale agreements and handles all aspects of real property due diligence.

Lauren is licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. She received her B.A. in Sociology and B.A. in Psychology from Syracuse University, magna cum laude, and her J.D. from Villanova Law School, cum laude.

In her spare time, Lauren is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys photographing historic architecture, nature, and urban street art.
