Ann Hsu Kaufman
Ann is an experienced commercial real estate attorney who has represented lenders, real estate owners, developers, and investors in the acquisition, sale, leasing and financing of commercial properties, including office buildings, hotels, retail and mixed-use projects, multifamily apartment complexes, and condominium developments. Her commercial leasing practice includes representation of both landlords and tenants in office and retail leasing transactions.
She is also an experienced real estate finance attorney and has worked with a wide variety of real estate secured transactions, as well as assisting with loan work out matters and review and negotiation of forbearance agreements and loan modifications. Ann also has experience representing national and state title insurance companies in negotiating and resolving title claims.
Ann began practicing law in Washington, D.C. in 2006. She is licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C., South Carolina and Virginia. Ann earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from the Oglethorpe University, a M.A. in Political Science from Emory University, a MSc in Development Studies from the University of London, and her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
